Obama…A Redo is Plausable
Sunday, March 29th, 2009Barack, ask for a Redo. You know, another “First” 100 days. I would be willing to give you one IF you do what you said you would do.
Here are Your Two First Steps in the Right Direction
1. Bring Change to Washington. As in NEW BLOOD dude! Your words mean nothing when you re-use the same ole idiots from Washington.
2. Suck it up. Fire Geithner. You have lost SO much credibility with this guy it isn’t even funny. Your vetting process must have been patterned after Lobbyist groups.
3. Fix the Problems of the Economy.
Before throwing dollars into an already blazing problem, the existing problems need to be fixed. The Regulatory bodies of the banking & credit industries need to be overhauled in a serious way. But guess what? They already exist! They are called “Federal Examiners”. So it is a matter of allowing them to do their job and stop tying their hands with useless regulations.
These guys and gals need to be the strong armed controllers that “Bird Dog” financial institution NOT govern them and certainly not Nationalize them.
One question that has been left out of this debacle is this “What have the Big Accounting Firms been reporting on concerning this banks?” Hello? Anybody home? This accounting companies get HUGE sums of money by supposedly reviewing the financials of the institution. So what are the reports says?
Internal Audit departments need to be given more protection from zealous Presidents, CEOs, CFOs, CIOs and Board Members. Accountability NEEDS to exist (at the Peer level) in order to bring confidence back into the financial industry. There is no such thing as self-governance but there is when proper execution of controls and assessment of risks are in place for the consumer & shareholder. Right now, it is a myth at this point in time because GREED prevents it from happening.
“The Right Thing for the Company” is lost and has been replaced with “It’s About Me and what I have done!”. It just spells G-R-E-E-D.
Tell Congress to get off the rear-end and stop wasting time. Here is another thing to chew on. Can you say “Sarbanes Oxley”? That would have saved a LOT of the financial foes had that been truly enacted correctly AND enforced.
Do you see a common factor here? Congress and Greed. Duh!
Do not Nationalize the banking system but rather empower the protectors of the system that already exist.
